How Fear of acupuncture affect to patient?

Some patients have fear of needles or needling, as known as needle phobia.
If you have needle phobia. You'd better avoid acupuncture treatments. Because It can over activate sympathetic nerve. so needling can cause dizziness, muscle contraction, hyperventilation.

This study was conducted in South Korea, 2012. and It proved fear of needle over-activates sympathetic nerve.
